Romeo analysis

Romeo is the quintessential young lover. He’s passionate, lost without love, and blindly adores the lady of his desire, Juliet. Shakespeare introduces Romeo as a young man in the throes of deep depression as a result of his unrequited love for the Lady Rosaline. However, that intense passion disappears the moment he sees Juliet. From then on, the passion Romeo feels for Juliet is undeniable and as he says, “But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?/It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.” (II, ii) (http://www.edubook.com/romeo-and-juliet-character-analysis/8074/)

RESPONSE:

The writer describes Romeo as a person who needs love in his life and Juliet is the person for him. He says that Romeo changes from being "a young man in the throes of deep depression as a result of his unrequited love for the Lady Rosaline" to someone with a passion for love and is happy with his choices.
